Batman Begins

Finally, a good movie. It seems like a long time since I watched Batman Begins. So good. I love the line delivered by Thomas Wayne, Bruce's father, and later by Alfred, the butler, "Why do we fall, (Master) Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up." This reminds me of when Jesus is walking on the water and Peter asks to walk out with him. He says come, Peter walks on the water, but then, looking around at the wind and the waves, begins to sink. Jesus grabs his hand and pulls him up, "Oh, ye, of little faith. Why did you doubt?" I've heard this passage preached noting that Jesus said, why did you doubt, not why did you doubt me. Jesus let Peter walk on the water, because he knew he could. Jesus won't put us in a situation you can't handle. Sometimes we wish God wouldn't trust us as much as he does. Next Week: The Dark Knight (to finish off my Batman movies)
